Dissociation
2021
“Dissociation” is a large charcoal and pencil drawing I did for my first drawing class in college. It was for our final project, a self-portrait. I really like darker and stranger themes in artwork, so I decided to draw panels of scenes I rememeber from dreams I had.
Dreams have been a large part of my life. Often they feel so vivd and real that I wake up and have to re-associate myself. This drawing is sort of a reflection of that conflict between dreams and reality. Many of my dreams have influence in what I make, and many stories and characters are reminicent of the ones I remember.
Save Point Picnic

This drawing is done in pastels and pastel pencils, with some use of white acrylic to get the bright whites. The prompt for this project was “Eat The Still-life”. This drawing is inspired by the game Omori, specifically the picnic’s you have throughout the game to save your file.
The Curator

I made the character of The Curator through a drawing excersize we did in class called Exquisite Corpse.
